I have on the other hand taken a pair of pliers or a hammer to some gold, I wasn't sure about. Sometimes those all black nuggets can fool a guy. :)

I have bit my gold before but the gold always won and then there's that elusive nugget that you find in the bottom of that crack and bite it first and then put it in your mouth so you don't lose it coming up from the bottom of the river. You look up not realizing that the weight of gold makes it quickly roll to the back of your mouth and down your throat as you swallow it... Soon enough you're crack hunting again while in the outhouse :D

think yer gonna need those dental records for proof, which will cost you money and in the end "finders keeper" will always win. lol
