I posted this as a status meant to post it here, I will be at the elys Ford boat ramp Saturday morning around 8 am. If you need directions let me know. The river is not really suitible for much more than dredging, you will need to have some type of floatable device to float your gear due to the river having very steep banks that are 10 feet high in most areas.
The river is mostly shallow with sandy bottoms, you can use air, but I mostly use a snorkel, some area have 2 to 4 feet of overburden, I go upstream almost a mile and a half to where wilderness run meets the river. Let me know if you plan to go I can give any info you might need.
