  • We're looking to upgrade ourselves am a four-inch will definitely will move more material
  • I have three now their are things to look at when getting a dredge! First is how much water flow will you be working with? With out the water your stuck, next would be weight do you have a helper to help carry and set up (+ safety) your club ask you never go alone call take a friend. Next what kind if sluice box single, double or triple? what kind of material are you near? How much room for hauling and storage for the unit?

I have a Packrat backpack that's great for snipping and light weight 85lbs runs a 2" double sluice with a nugget catcher at the top some would call it a triple.

Jobe 2.5 high banker combo is a great starter you can build a float if you like

4" inch Keene they have rag and mini styles both with a triple system and air for diving

3 inch Pro Line has and nice wide box and air as well.

You are in Ga. and Bill at Carolina Prospectors in Statesville NC has a store you can look at the dredges on the floor and pick up some great tips would be well worth the day trip! He is a member here and a sponsor here and is a straight up guy! That would save you some doe on shipping as well, check out his site he has a link here! Good luck Keith!

    • I have a Keene 4" dredge and it really moves so earth. But the first time I took it out the pulley for the t80(air compressor) ether the keywick pin fell out or the company didn't put it in. I really don't know how it could've fell out, ended up burning a pulley belt thank God I had an extra one. So if you get any dredge take a lot of tools ie. Allen wrenches, socket set metric and American, extra spark plug, plus duck tape. Other than that its a great machine first pull on the cord and it start.hope that helps you out.
  • I own 5 dredges, a 2 1/2 combo, a 3 combo, two 4" and a 6".

It really depends on what material you are going to be working and how much water you have.  Keene makes some decent products but I personally prefer Proline.

We make our living mining (both placer and lode).  Shoot me a note if you have any additional questions.

  • If you can fined a promack 4 or 5 get it
  • I've got the 4" Ultra Mini and it works great. I had the regular 4 but it was to heavy for me to lug around by myself.

Gold recovery is about the same as the standard 4 with the triple sluice box.

  • I have the Keene 2 1/2" High Banker Dredge Combo works great. I mostly use it in dredge mode because if I have to I can still shovel dirt in as well. The Honda pump can be a little finniky to prime but once running it can push water like no other pump IMHO.

  • my thoughts are... very nice setup ..would like to have one of those myself
