Crevis Sucker 18a Parts List

Body:
18" : 1 1/2' PVC pipe
1 1/2" PVC slip on T-fitting...
1 1/2" PVC slip on cap w/7/8 hole drilled through it on center
1" : 1 1/2" pvc Pipe
1 1/2" slip on coupler
1 1/2" PVC Check Valve
1 1/2" to 3/4" adaptor
10" of 3/4" pvc pipe

Plunger:
17" : 3/4" pvc pipe
4" : 3/4" pvc pipe
3/4" PVC slip on T-fitting
3/4" slip on to 3/4" male thread connector
1 1/2" Plumbers Test Plug

To Build:
take 18" of 1 1/2" pvc pipe and fasten the T-fitting to one end.
Fasten Check valve into other side of T-fitting.
insert 1 1/2"to 3/4"adaptor into check valve.
add 10" of 3/4" pvc pipe to adaptor
insert 1" of 1 1/2" pvc pipe into offside of T-fitting then add a 1 1/2" coupler
(for your hose to attach to)
Body is now finished...

Plunger take the 17" of 3/4" PVC pipe add the T-fitting to one end
add the 4" of 3/4" pvc into one side of T to make your handle
slide the 1 1/2" cap with the 7/8Z" hole through it up over the 17" length with the closed side of the cap towards the handle
Now The Fun Part lol
dismantle the Plumbers Test Plug.
Place the bolt through the 3/4" slip on end of the small connector so it sticks out through the center of the threaded end
place the rubber section of the test plug on the bolt
place a flat washer over the bolt and replace wingnut
you will need to replace the big flat washer of the test plug with a smaller sized one so it will fit properly through the 1 1/2" pipe without catching/binding
as you tighten the wingnut down you will be able to work the rubber piece down over the threads of the connector making it have a solid fitting with next to no chance of ever leaking
slide connector onto bottom of plunger pipe and it's done

before tightening the plunger down to much make sure it fits nice and snug into the 1 1/2" pipe but not to the point where you have to put excessive pressure on it to make it slide
slide it all the way into the suckers body and place 1 1/2" cap firmly in place

for a hose I stole the hose from my Shop Vac which fit perfectly into the 1 1/2" coupler... then duct taped the heck outta it to hold it
the other end of the hose is your choice on how you want to connect to the bucket/container it will be feeding to...

  • After extensive testing this afternoon with FrostyDog supervising

have decided an additional inline check valve is required...

located in the feed tube to the bucket at the crevis sucker end of the hose (shoulda thought of that right off)

otherwise the crevis sucker has very little pressure for opening and closing the nozzle check valve...

it instead tries to feed FROM the bucket instead of through the nozzle... (booooooo)

this should solve the suction pressure issue and hopefully give it full functionability

will make the addition then post pics of the finished product

    • Sweet thanks for the great info
      • will be posting a new pic this weekend at some point Chris, will try to have it up before sunday so if yer on for the radio show it should be on here... will be complete with both valves and such...

  • Thanks for sharing buddy
