  • we have both..... a blue bowl and a spiral, and they both work well. And Yes, it is worth it. We have the Gold miner spiral. And the blue bowl from Pioneer. And get the screens, or at least get one 30 mesh...... need to screen it.
    • Ok, thanks Bliss. Which do you like better the blue bowl or the spiral?
  • Jody,

I have a Gold Miner Spiral Wheel (similar to the desert fox) that Tony on this site sent me! I love it!! It really speeds up going through the concentrates! I highly recommend a gold wheel of some type, especially if you have accumulated lots of cons and plan to continue to accumulate them! I was actually able to catch up and empty my buckets before this past spring. I have a few more to go thru this winter, but will get that done before springtime. Maybe I'll bring my wheel down this spring!

    Good luck!

    Keith
    • Thanks, Keith. Yeah, we have quite a bit building up on us, so we need to do something. Hopefully I will have one before spring (if I can get the wife to come off with the money), but if not, for sure bring yours down when you come. I'm looking forward to it.
      • Jody, if you have to many cons, just save them up until I get down that way this spring. I'll trade you some empty buckets for them all!! Hahaha!!
  • go to the video menu and view the Gotcha and the magnaTwo
    • Thanks Bill, those are pretty cool too. What does a set like that run?
  • I recommend both I love my desert fox and the blue bowl is great for re running the material from the fox. Although I know some that say a good cleanup sluice and bluebowl is all you really need I just like the hypnotic effect of the wheel. It's all about getting the right setup on the wheel you get it right and you will find you loose very little gold the other secret is to classify the material you run so that it's the same size never run material that is not classified and always run each size seperately. In my opinion the fox and other wheels are over priced but you can find good deals if you look I just seen one go for $150 cheaper than I paid and some have gone for even less of course the bluebowl is far cheaper but w/add ons pump filters ect. you can get a few dollars wrapped up in it also heck you can't have too many prospecting toys in my opinion.
    • Thanks Bill :) I am thinking I would like both.....the key now is to talk the old lady into it coming off the money for it ;) Are you going to bring yours down when you come to Tennessee?
  • Jody, Go to my home page and scroll towards the bottom and I think you may find the comments I recieved when I posed the same question. Mark
