let me break the ice by saying, lm retired now. want to go west in my motorhome, find a lode claim with good gold to mine. i have an income for life, and 8years prospecting experiance. and a nice motorhome. any one like to steer me in the right direction?

Sounds like a great way to live the dream. I wish I could steer you in the right direction, maybe Alaska in the summer? Lots of space and not overcrowded with people, and with your motorhome, you wouldn't need to worry about accommodations or weather, plus you could travel back south for the winter.
Moreover, it sure is a beautiful place to see if you've never taken the opportunity.

Have you thought about buying another claim? I saw one here in SW Oregon that blew me away, and had me wishing hard. Both lode and placer, and was for sale by a reputable person by many means. Let me know if so and I'll dig up the post. I can only imagine the profit out of the ground there.
What kind of prospecting have you done up to now?
Lode and placer.mainly in new Mexico and arizona.i have 2 sluice boxes, a gold cube. Gb2, impact mill, numerous other things saying that, I must also say, I've never found enough gold to keep me in one place.a recent trip to my claim in salome arizona netted me a gram of crack vac gold. For a 2000.00 trip, that ain't to good.
