If you would like to read some great research that will give us some "ammunition" in trying to defeat "SB670" California's dredging moratorium, then you need to read this thread posted on GoldDredger's Discussion Forum, this thread in most of its entirety is posted by Old Gold Miner, he is a retired large corporate & mid-level public & private venture mining engineer. Who, since retirement has remained active in small scale placer mining & own mining claims over industrial mineral deposits & placer gold deposits in California, Oregon, Nevada & Idaho. He has gotten involved because members of his immediate & extended family were making a living, suction dredging. SB 670 pulled $10,000 a month, right out of their pockets. he has stated "That is wrong. To help right that wrong, I got involved", it is a very long read to catch up on this thread, there is no better research that I have found, and reading his research you will know more than you have known to date as to why SB670 is "badly written, idiotic, fatally flawed law"!!!! Here is a link to the thread, I think it should be posted on every gold forum, to reach all concerned and affected by California passing SB670..... http://golddredger.com/dcforum/DCForumID4/1986.html Skip
