I built this to handle the larger boulders on a streach of creek
a friend of mine owned. This was when dredging was still legal
in Calif. I used a 1 ton chain hoist from Harbor Freight Tools,
I bought the floats from Keene and had the local welding shop fab.
the rest. Also had a rock net made for it at a cable / wire rope
shop. Float it over the boulder, put rock net over it, tighten
up with the chain hoist, ( work from the up stream side ) and
hoist it up to clear what is needed and float it out of the way!
Boulders in the 300 to 400 # (?) range no problem, ( never
weighted any of them ) . Still have and doing duty for a long
time friend along with the rest of my dredging gear in Georgia.
