I’m heading off to a blood drive by the American Red Cross later today. The shortage of whole blood is incredibly low at this time. They tell me that just 1 unit of blood can save 3 lives. I’m putting the challenge forth for us prospectors to do our part. Can I have just 10 people help out, please?

Jim, my wife, Mary (in the photo) , draws blood and works for the Red Cross in Charlotte on their Blood drives. The group works long hard to accomplish the things that they do. Long hours and sometime you don't know when they will be home. They stay until the job is done. Sometimes she's up at 3:30 to get ready to leave for a drive other times she may not get home til 1 or so in the morning working on a 3rd shift drive. The workers are dedicated. The teams do a great job and deserved as much support as they can get.
I gave yesterday and try to get others to do the same.
Thank you Cecil.
I wish I could. I have several times int he past when I was way younger. The last time I tried to donate I passed out so bad it was several hours before I was able to even walk never mind return to work. They had to carry me out of the bus and fellow employees loaded me in my car and drove me home and carried me into my hose. They say some people just dont handle it very well and apparently I am one of them now. Boy I never want to go through that again even though it is for a good cause
