Hi guys, Not sure if this video which shows how easy it is to track down a location via copying a photo has been shown before but it thought it important to post. https://www.youtube.com/embed/xvZF-yP_ceU?feature=player_detailpage Make sure that GPS is turned off before posting a big nugget from the field. I love the digital world but it certainly has some downfalls. I showed my kids this as well and they were shocked at what could be done simply with a photo. Cheers

  • Double edge sword of coolness. OK, my girlfriend's son has a 4wd jeep and is a member of an association of others with similar vehicles. They like to travel in caravans through out the southwest in wilderness areas, they GPS their location in real-time and post real-time photos of their adventures online; for the amusement of their friends/loved ones at home. This using their smartphones and other extended GPS services. Today's smartphones, smart-pads, etc... are set up to appeal to the interest of today's digitally acclimatized consumer; which may not be the same interest as your's. Very little remains as it once was, anymore.

  • ok so I guess I am not as up to date as I think. I had no idea about this. Although I do have my tagging and gps turned off. It sure made me open my eyes as to what could happen.

  • Boy that is is lot of hoops to jump throught. If some one just asked I would take them out to some great spots and hey We have RV parking. Thanks that is good to know.
