beach prospecting???

what is the best and cheapest equipment for beach prospecting?  im going to the oregon coast around gold beach next week. also any insight on where to find beach gold too.  i know of a few places but was looking to see if there was any others.  thanks in advance :)

    Our group has had some success in sand quarries and we use a small sluice from California sluice that to get it and everything to run it is about eighty dollars.

      i ended up just panning it out down enough to reveal gold and dumped it into another bucket to go through it with my black magic water table.
