I just saw a detector on EBAY that boasts a signal frequency of 450 khz. , and it has auto balance. Sounds like a pretty high freq. It's a TREASURE HUNTER brand and it sells for $169.99. If this is correct, would this be a good nugget detector ? Anyone Know about this detector ?

I went to the alleged manufacturer's page. It appears they are just private labeling cheap metal detectors and at least one of them I can identify being from China. Look at their underwater metal detector. $795.00. Kellyco has it for $399.00, or I got it for $99.00 when I bought my gold bug 2. I'll take $75.00 for this piece of crap. And you won't waste as much money. It is good you asked first.
