Anyone have a source for 1/4" in mesh made with 1/8" stainless wire 9 X 8 3/4. I am modifying a recirculating high banker. It had 1/2" slots, long rocks plug every thing up. I increased the pump from 1250 gph to 1400 gph so it will run 1/4' and still get the small stuff. We hit some hard pack at Savage Rapids and it did a real nice job except the classifier. We were getting 2 dwt out of five buckets for a while.

WOW dude, that's $130.00 a bucket, nice.
Hi James, You may be better off with a sheet of perforated metal. I checked my sources & the 1/8" wire will be the problem. This company http://www.directmetals.com/dm/wire_woven.asp has something close, .120" dia. wire with .280" opening listed under their 2-1/2 mesh. Maybe you can get them to send you a sample.
Good luck in your search, Bill
Thanks Bill I found a company. It was not cheap but I got what I wanted. I think I have too much time on my hands. I started with a 1250 gold buddy recirculator. I added spray bars, exchanged the 1/2 slot classifier with the 1/4 " classifier, a two tub system with a 1500gph pump, ball valve for total water output control, a ball valve between tray and spray water more spray for clay. It has been like I bought it and changed it now I like it.

Metalsdepot.com has 1/4" expanded in aluminum, stainless and steel. Stainless very pricey $84.00 for 1 ft. X 4 ft. piece but they do cut custom pieces.
