  • the 2 picture is the gravel been worked or from the flood?
can not tell from the pictures.
  • this is up stream of the same gravel bar
  • sorry this pic is not too good but that is a pile of rock left at the down stream end of the gravel bar.
  • this is about 50' from the river it's all over the place
  • Just look for concentrations of black sands. Floods can leave a layer of fine gold and flakes right on the surface. I can pan a few grams a day on the Feather River just chasing flood gold.

If your looking for the pay streak Dig/dredge where the bigger rocks have piled up.

  • A lot of sand was deposited in the brush and around the trees. in places it is 2 feet deep. I have to get a new camera as mine quit working yesterday.
  • behind any of the larger rocks or the gravel on the inside of any bends of the river / creek....hard to say exactly where without a picture or a description of area...with that being said " gold is where you find it " i have found gold in places that most people don't look...outside bends..ect...good luck..also if it flooded enough to over run the banks you might want to check on the down stream side of the larger tree's that act just like the bigger rocks in forming low pressure areas and eddies...
