  I've seen people working American and Spring canyons, both metal detecting and sluicing (and one dredge). Been to fossil hill just past American Canyon, but I'm looking for more untrampled areas....bob

  When I was detecting at Majuba last year I picked up some 3-4 inch quartz crystals but they were not clear, but rather a whiteish color. I'm always looking for someone to give me a hand with the 5", dredging opens the last weekend in May and I plan to do a week on the claim about the 1-6 of June. Gotta put the dredge into the water and carry the motors down, then bolt everything together. This takes a couple of hours, then the fun starts....lots of boulders to move and gravels to run...going to be fun...Any idea of when you would like to come over? bob

  Hey Cris, do you know of any good rockhounding spots around Lovelock that aren't picked to death. I am kind of familiar with the seven troughs area from hunting Chuckar but at that time I wasn't looking for pretty rocks.....bob

  Chris, loved the gold...chuckers, they are a real pain here to me they are real pretty, but not so pretty when they eat all my fruit from my trees. We took a ride to Lovelock it was pretty cold, spend a while in the cemetary looking for an old friend. Where you nugget shooting?
