Riverdigger the sliuce is 4" wide and 2' long and 2" sides, and the tub behind are leftover from new years but its just juice for my kids and neiceand nephew they had a blast the start at 10 years old and end with 17 years old.
I think it would make a good "carpet" for under some expanded metal or riffle section (depending on what you are going for) . What are your dimensions on the sluice? It looks like you are getting ready for some heavy duty celebrating once that sluice is finished by the looks of that tub behind it.

I look at your photos and its dam close to what you have, but Im still going to give a try what do I have to loss the peice cost 0.75.
