the gravel bed on the left of the picture is about 10 feet above the river. the island is part of the old river bottom. so it should be legal to go out on the island and sluice and pan . not sure but checking into it

they told me no digging on the gravel bar to the left

the gravel bed and island have been there for ever as far as i know

I like gold Island looks like fun, has that River Traveled much so the Island could be the old river bead or is it New Buid Up ?
