This spot on the fast side just keeps getting better!! Im pulling 1/8 - 1/4 oz. a day off the top of the hardpack and bedrock! I'm ground sluicing the overburden which averages 3" to 16" deep over the existing hardpack. Every time I roll a boulder over there's a few grams of flake.
Cool spot I hit today on The Fastside kept working into the bank following that virgin ground in that boulderfield.. The Granite rocks and boulders have decomposed in place and when you try to pry them away they crumble..
You could shovel right thru them!
The rock-heads stick up higher than the hardpack and it serves as a false bedrock.. Im getting large flakes and medium heavy gold off the top of the hardpack. Very interesting spot on the fast side of the river
The Whole time I've been going there I never sampled that side, the whole stretch is half the size of a football field..
Bedrock averages 2' to 3' down and it's rotted and rarley smooth

There's some Wicked Quartz cracks in that stretch with all the seams running at right angles to the water
