I would guess that it is mercury coated gold. You hardly ever find native silver, because it tarnishes quickly. Take a silver spoon, and bury it in the yard. Dig it up next year, and it'll be blueish green. That's silver chloride.

Looks Like it could be Electrum. and there is some Copper on your Gold. Nice Pic
yes but you need to be careful when useing any chemicals
no cant just wipe it off
can be eather burnt off or retorted or disloved in nitrict acid

I`m not sure Nancy its either silver or mercury stuck to gold to small to test.. LOL
