  • Hello back! :-)   Haven't had a notice of activity here for awhile.

  • Hello Everyone!

  • My wife has a Gold Bug Pro and I have the Gold Bug II.  When we get to an area I usually end up sluicin, n pannin', n high banking, while she nugget shoots the slopes. Maybe if I nugget shoot with my Gold Bug I'll start finding the "nuggets" without having to move so much dirt for the sluices. That's gotta be the secret to get big gold. Yep?

I'm in Prescott Arizona, retired. So if anyone wants to head out and show me some nugget shooting tips I'd be grateful. Right now the water's running good in them creeks.

  • Hi Glenn and g'day Kate.
  • Howdy Morgan E and a (very) belated G'day to Kate.  I haven't checked in on this group in quite awhile.  Apparently the others are out prospecting as I don't see to many comments for awhile - I don't feel so bad now :-3)   Hope you're all doing great with your nugget shooting!

MXT Upgrade Coil Inquiry

Hello everyone,  I live out here in the Arizona desert, and would like to know if anyone owns, has used or uses one of the SEF Excelerator Butterfly Coils, or the Whites ULTIMATE 13" coil available from Kellyco?  I would like to know what kind of track record these coils have for nugget hunting - do they do well with the high desert mineralization, or are they primarily for areas with low to medium mineralization?  I watched a You Tube video with a guy showing how his MXT works with both the…

After wildfires.

Just wondering? I have found gold with my metal detector in this one area. Last year there was a wildfire there and burned everything. I've heard that it is harder to find targets after a fire because when it burned it change the mineral composition and made the ground hot. Anyone out there have any experience with this stiuation.
