What tools would you take?

If you have to hike back into a spot for prospecting what are the necessary tools you would take with you? Keep in mind you want to keep your pack as light as possible and no ATV use allowed.

I would take my small sluice, folding shovel, crevice tools, pan and classifier, a small bucket, first aid kit, and an emergency survival kit.

    if the waters cold .gotta have hip or chest waders.maybe some waterproof gloves

    Thanks Maurice forgot the sniffer bottle and yes definitely a side arm in our part of the country

    I always carry my cell phone. I know a lot of people like to leave theirs at the truck but I carry mine because you just never know. I think I would also add in our area a decent sized handgun or a large can of bear spray. Also maybe a sniffer bottle. I like to wear my army camo pants and usually load up the pockets too.
