WoW! The state issued him permits and then later pull them for no reasoning? If they get away with this, they'll next come after those collecting rain water in catch barrels off their gutters...this country is going to the dogs......

For those history buffs look for pre 1950 books. You will realize a pattern to this insanity. The bad part is "What's next,Where will they strike, and Who will pay."It starts with someones bad idea then conning the people they follow, then believeing whatever is handed to them.Like sheep to the slaughter. Or whatever critter you might be eating!
I used to read alot of history books most of which the covers were gone.Three of them made Lincoln give Andrew Jackson a good name.Everything that anyone ever trys or attempts has been done at one point in time of and before.Politics has not changed since written word and probably even at earlier time.
Well lets see if this gives someone an idea !
State states that all water therein belongs to them; that tells me
that they are responsable for it. Big rain comes and FLOODS someone's
house, thats there water that they did'ent control, sort of like a redheaded
stepchild that gets into trouble be cause not one was watching him, you know
what I mean. Well if they own that damn water, they ARE responsable for
the damage it inflects on someone else, WERE"S MY LAWYER??????
On 170 acres, he's pissed someone off, that's the only thing I can think of. I'm going to search other states to see if there are similar laws still on the books, with states like California going bankrupt, Texas is dipping into it's rainy day funds, states are going to start looking for anything they can to make money. I for one don't want to wake up to a state employee at my well attaching a meter so I have to pay for the water. Those that live a lifestyle where they live off grid or self sustaining are the ones that will be affected. First our gold, now they want our water, Anthony may be right, there's probably laws on the books that give them ownership over our air.....
He has three ponds maybe 9 acre feet total and it is being used for fire protection.
Pretty much Durant, according to the 1925 law, the state owns ALL water, not sure if this is an isolated thing or if they're doing it all over, it says in the article that they were acting because of a complaint...so who knows, sounds like he's pissed off the wrong people.
This is bull sh@# so dose this mean if he put barral on his rain gutters he would see jail time.
Not sure what he was saving the water for, don't think it ever said. Don't give them any ideas Anthony, the way this article reads, I'm surprised they don't put meters on private wells and make you pay for the water. It's really getting ridiculous.
Sounds like "Hey I need a bonus,a raise and the ability to push someone around".Do they own the air that you breathe"Lets tax the air it is ours anyway".
