Yesterday I had the chance to meet one of our members Chuck lassiter Midwest prospector he was in town picking up some books so I met him and his wife for coffee. Let me tell you he is a wealth of information very down to earth and knows his gold.I will tell you I am going to purchase his book as soon as possible and hope someday to get to prospect with him. Then I no I would find some nice gold for sure Tim

    Chuck's efforts in the state of Indiana concerning the new prospecting rules that are proposed is to be commended. He has ushered the change from basically an all out ban of prospecting to the current proposal, which allows up to a 5 inch dredge on most waterways, except for a few that have endangered species in them. Kudos to Chuck and others for educating the DNR folks on the benefits of prospecting to the environment and economy, for supporting our hobby, and for providing the great information contained in his book! Definitely, a must read!! Keith

    I purchased Chucks book a year ago. I just started re-reading it and yet still find new within its pages. He puts it down to earth, plain and simple.

    Chuck is indeed an Ace! His book is exactly factual, accurate and beautifully illustrated. Mary is a gem.
