Leone and I went out on our first prospecting trip to Randsberg Calif. on a Three Day Camping Prospecting trip to the California Desert Dry-washing. This Event was put together by the Temecula Valley Prospectors and Sleepy Bear Mining Co. We showed up at 9am for check in, then set up Camp by 11. and was Off Digging a yard out of a 20' Mound before Test Panning! lol, No Gold and No Black Sand ? Now were Off Pot-Holing The Other Mounds for black sands, nope ?? Day #2 Morning we went to talk to other prospectors and came up with the conclusion to Prospect the Flats. So now We are Off Test Panning 2 Foot Holes in the Desert. lol, Found some Calichie and Processed the Upper layers with Test Panning and Nope. Everything Showed Minimal Blacks All Day Rrrr, Day #3 It's 4am I'm off to Inspect this WWII Claim of Dump Piles, Started walking the Ravine looking at the Piles from the Inside I came up with the Conclusion they were placed there by Conveyor Belt, this means there "Processed Dumps" So I Walk down stream, Over, and Through, this Ravine looking for Old Drywash tailings, When I Found a Cut in the Wall showing "Old River Kobble" :D so I went Back to Camp and We Packed up the Tools and off !! Leone and I Processed 1/2 yard now with Pick Axes at the side of this Wall and test Panned, this Time its showing Big Black's with Un-Rounded edges :D so We are Off Digging in Old River Bed Collecting Cons with the thought of Heavies. We worked the Hole Day and Collected a Bucket of Con's and a Bucket of Tailing Con's. :) ""Story Starts at The Bottom of the Page"" click like if Ya Like it

Looks like a good time Spur, wish I would of made it! But I was on the Bear and Yuba Rivers.
Here is a Pic of the Cut as We left it.. If We could have Staid Longer or Come Back We Would Do a Horizontal Cut LOW and some Vertical Cuts, Then Back Cut it so the Hill TUMBLES and Drys
The local miner is Gary. Surprised I didn't see you spur since I hung out with Richard and Gary most of the day. Garys a funny little guy with a heart of gold and Richard is a great guy too. They never have a problem hanging out with the girl. lol Jordan is my neighbor and the first miner I met in the area. This kid reminds me of my son. He's a great guy and way more knowledgeable than you would expect of someone his age. Just an all around great guy. Now that I look at the pics, yeah, I saw ya, just didn't realize it was you. Maybe next time. Well looks like you met the right ppl to me. I had a great time, hope you did too.
