We are going to SD on the 12th. We are going for 1 day and thats all the time we have. Were going down fill up some buckets and head home and try mom new sluice that we reworked. She can run that and I will fill the buckets and take the to the van. I may even classify down to 1/2". I hope know one dug out my hole we have been working on for 3 years that would suck.

I just watched the GPAA show this afternoon and to day was a old show they were in SD at the Migg claim and Tom was in my spot that I dig in for 4 years. My son about flipped when he saw this.
MAn Im glad we got to go SD last weekend, I know a couple that went this week end and they got hell and not just one time but three time. Now that would reck a weekend.

Do you ever find any gold on those GPAA claims? I haven't heard anyone talking about having good luck there and was wondering if it's worth giving it a go. Long drive there from Iowa. Thanks. dickb
Spur I dont no about the cabin. Some of the trees that are down are ate out by that beetle I dont think they would make good fire wood, there was a tree that was a foot in diameter about 30' long and I move it out of my way by my self that a bad tree and it did not pull on the back.
That sounds Great at least you know nobody has worked your spot, and you got a start on a cabin :) glad to hear you had a Great time.
It was nice dirt down there on that claim you need to look for a redish color dirt and I hit a line about 6" wide and it went back about 3' so I think we will do good.

Well we went to the SD Migg claim and the plain was to fill 20 buckets, Well that did not happen there were a bunch of trees down and the spot was covered with them it was hard to get to the creek so I did not sluice on the trip. We tried to find a different spot but did not like the spot I looked at and that was 2 hours lost. So what I did was cleaned off my old spot that took a hour and then sally my wife was back at camp classifying I took her 40 bucket 1/2 full and took them down to 1/2", we worked from 10:00 to 7:30 and got 8 full buckets it was a lot of work but we had a lot of fun.
cecil Im hope to get some nice color with the box. All the bucket that we bring home hast to last the summer because that will be the last time for the year.
