Well, I purchased some classifiers...I learned a valuable lesson....READ the entire ad...., I was under the impression that though they stacked into a neat stack that I was going to be able to use them with a bucket...and I can, but a VERY small bucket. The classifiers are about 7 inches across, they work great, don't get me wrong, it just takes a very long time to process a 5 gallon bucket of dirt. Now while I use the hand held pump dredge I don't get many big rocks in my concentrates, I do get some bigger pebbles that don't do so well in the gold miner. So I've been classifying them into finer cons, I was pleased that the gold miner found about another gram of gold I'd missed from my hand panning attempts. I processed and ran one 5 gallon bucket of cons from the Llano river and found plenty of blacksand but no color what so ever. I'm hoping this one will produce something, I spent about 45 minutes on my knees sucking up the back floor of an alcove that should've caught anything when the river was flowing at it's peak. Will post when I've finished running them and share any pictures of whats found.
