Hi Folks!

Thanks for setting up this great site Tim! I like the layout and features. Of all the sites I belong to, this one is unique.I know some of you, and hope to get know more about all of you. I have enjoyed looking at your pictures!I'm a retiree and (unfortunately) live in gold-forsaken Western KY (the state, not the jelly.) I have prospected a bit in the western states, but my main focus is the east and midwest. I spent a couple of weeks helping a newbie prospect his property in North Carolina this past season. Chuck Lassiter is my favorite prospecting partner for several reasons, first and foremost his knowledge and expertise find great gold! His sense of humor, mechanical genius and broadbased goals are also big pluses, plus he is a great cook! If any of you don't have a copy of Chuck's book, "Midwest Gold Prospecting" you're shortchanging yourself. His videos may be a bit too incendiary to watch during the off-season.I'm from upstate NY, and visit family there every year. I'm always on the prowl for that great NY and midwest glacial gold.Heavy Pans, faaus

  • Hello Faaus, Good to see you on this site.
  • I envy your location Zina! I know that the weather out that way can be pretty rough, but you're so right about snowmelt stirring up the gold.

Hope the coming season is fun and productive for you.
