I am not sure who started this petition, but it is kind of an attempt to educate folks, though i believe it is like all other attempts people sign it and figure they actually did something, when in fact they needed to contact their appropriate congress critter from their district to let them know via either email or letter with signature......
But for now anything that raises awareness helps and cant really hurt, though some of the comments may hurt more than the petition itself.
