  • ty mike i appreciate the suggestions from u and everyone but i doubt ill pan anything down that far as im not good enough yet.as far as the bucket sluice concentrator i dont like it ,its to much of a hassle to get the cons down small enough to process to run in the concentrator .its not worth it to me.maybe im wrong but if so its me thats wrong .im more interested in what ever gold i can see in my sluice box or pan. im not into collecting all the fine powder gold ,i usually just throw it outwith what is left in my pan. again ty mike for the advice

  • Lew, the one thing I do is shut down and dump the cons to pan while the first riffle is still half full of black sands.  When I run mine down all the way clean a lot of fine washes on out. The whole purpose is to knock down a half gallon or a couple gallons into a couple finish pans. If the gold is all fine I generally run a qt and then pan the cons. The only way it wont catch the fine is if you overfeed it. If your gold is super fine feed the spoons a lot slower than the vid. if its chunky it doesnt matter. The riffles should be full the whole time its running with just a bit of the downhill lip on each one showing. When I run the auto feeder into it, I load a half gallon of cons and then stop everything and pull finish pans at about every quart of bulk cons wich is half way through an auto feeder load.
