5 am in the morning!

Hello friends,

Still here at Loud mine, Ga. and its too early for me to be up. But I am . For some reason cant wait for daylight and get back to playing in the dirt. Gold finding has been very slim here. So far small stuff and few flakes. There is gold here if ya can find it, just got to work for it.

I have been tumbling rocks left & right. It doesnt matter to me what rock I tumble, if its pretty or strikes my eye..."plop" yer in there.

We plan to be heading to Vein Mtn, NC soon and attend the May outing. Hope to meet up with new & old friends there.

    There are several sites still open. So far there has been some moving in everyday. But as as of today no new ones and we are getting rain....all day so far, so I havent really been outdoors except to take the dog out....we plan to be in Vein Mtn by first of May, we are not staying here for the outing...so hope we see ya at vein....Jules

    Just curious....how crowded is the camp this week. I'll be heading there, hopefully a couple days before the May 5 outing starts. Also going on down to the Vein Mountain outing. Hope to see you there.

    Ha LOL COOL !! Ya Ive picked up rocks since I was a kid.lol I crushed some recently and I got a little gold out of them, lol must of had a good eye with out knowing, lol. But some tumbled stuff is pretty neat. I might try to tumble some stones using different sized tinny garnets. And a set up on the edge of the river, save on my hydro bill.

    Well to be honest i am new to tumbling the rocks and in the future I want to learn more and come up with my own projects on making jewelry. When I get time I will try and post some pics of the ones i have tumbled. Some people may think why in the world tumble something that ugly, but in my eyes all rocks are beautiful in their own way...hmmm just like people...lol...thanks for your comment!

    What do you do with tumbled rocks? I know some people make costume jewelry. Is there money to be maid with tumbled rocks? Just wondering?
