Dennis I wish it was that many buckets there would be a lot more gold To fill a bucket classified at 1/4 inch you move at least 5 times that bany rocks thru the classifier and that dosn't take in to account the bigger cobble that never hits the classifier but still has to be moved !
WoW Howard, if one tone is equal to a square yard or 3x3x3 that is 27 buckets, 3 tons is equal to 81 bucket now thats some Dirt movin.. But each bucket has an extra 4" so, great job.
I had Always want to go panning since i was a kid. I didnt know anybody that prospected. In early 90s i had a neighbor who did and he gave me a garrett pan but it just sat in the back yard i had no clue how to begin. About 4 years ago i took my wife up there and we did a little fishing on the trinity, there was some nice areas to do some panning. It wasnt until i stumbled on some youtube videos that i started to catch the fever 1 1/2 yrs ago so i went and got a pan did some research and found 3 of the tiniest specs thats when i got the full blown gold flu. God i wish i would have started younger before my body had so many aches and pains. All these years of fishing on top of the very places i find gold really sticks in my craw! Now im just gonna have to catch up. Some very beautiful country up there. When we went there was a huge fire that smoked out the whole highway but it was still nice
Nice color howard, wish i would have been prospecting when i was up there. Instead i took my wife bigfoot prospecting in willow creek. I think we would have done much better finding yellow metal. Keep it up i have a feeling there is a nugget close by
