This older gentleman told us he was determined to pan for his first time. NO CRAP, he rode this hoverround down to our campsite on the creek. I don't know how long it took him to get there, but I know it took me helping him and the hoveround over an hour to get him back to his truck. I gave him some of the dirt we were digging and he found the biggest piece all weekend. That dude was fearless.

It is probably better than 100 yards with a narrow bridge. Actually, I had a hard time getting the scooter back over the bridge without him on it and have no idea how he managed. It was muddy with huge roots sticking out and those things are freaking HEAVY! Hoveround would've sponsored him if they'd had seen what he did with it!
I think it is great you helped this older gentleman out. How far did he come from? I sure hope he is making is payments from the scooter store. I have'nt had work in so long and not finding much gold so far this season, I just took a job as a Repo man from the scooter store. I come in the middle of night and hook up with my Yugo. I've got walker and cane marks all over my head and back.
He was a cool old guy. He had a brand new pan and after showing him how to pan, he was going to try to dig with a cane in one hand. No way! He deserved to find gold and it was the least we could do, he told us he'd done everything else in life, but never panned. Check one more off on the bucket list. We call him Lone Wolf when we speak of him because he had that on his window, even though we've never seen him again, we're sure there's nothing he couldn't do.

Still laughing about the cane marks.
