Highly magnetic and is showing up on the metal detector. Found it in a box of some of my grandfathers rock collection. My grandparents were rock hounds and I have a lot of nice specimens from all over including some nice polishable stones. Some of the stones are labeled but this one is not.

I just read that you can use lodestones for magical purposes. For instance in Hoodoo folk magic, when you add metallic shavings to your lodestone and carry it with you it will add to your financial success. Guess what I'm gonna do?
