stage 2 assembling the Sluicebox finally

4" sidewalls with a brace at the entry end...7/16" riffles x 8...next step after everything dries/hardens is to get the mesh/moss fitted at the tail end... hopefully painted and ready before next weekend :)

  • Thanks Tim and Ahmed, and yer right if it gets waterlogged it'll weigh a ton and won't last very long. but once everything is set up it will be getting a good coating of varethane to seal it all up and hopefully prolong it's life... on the bright side it won't be getting hauled around much... once I'm at my spot it'll be stayin there (on the bank)... moving it will consist of as I work my way downstream it'll go with me... otherwise no hauling really except to put it in the water while in use...

  • Great Looking sluice build !  Wood would get heavy if it is not sealed well, though.

    Hope you get the rest of the parts and start using it .

  • That's OK Jeron with any luck it'll be ready and waiting when it does get here :)

    and yeah as long as customs doesn't "misplace it" for to long... when it does arrive i'll be set ta go :)

  • I don't know if the v mat will get there in time but let's hope customs doesn't play with it to long. Looks good though good job !
