  • yup good ol mi copper. It is said that mi has the purest copper in the world. you can pound it into form straight out of the ground. That's great!

  • I know, we have to be careful out there. Not good to go alone but sometimes not good to bring someone who cleans it out while your asleep! lol  That's why groups like this are fun and great for finding people in our area who most of the other members know.

  • Great finds are where you find them :D I have a spot I've dug up a copper vein and Chrysocolla it's in a bad spot folks like to Shoot at the Hill it's on lol
  • I thought the green was oxidation. I'm learning!

  • Hi Spur, It is, I believe this piece came from Michigan. I have a few of them. If I remember right one of the the piece is like thin veins compared to this one. They have been buried for a few years now and I'm starting to pull some things out of storage. We just had a new house put on our property by God's grace and had to tear down and get rid of our old Mobile Home before we were allowed to move in! Some of these laws are insane to me. They wouldn't let us keep the Mobile Home here while we moved into our new place which would have made things a lot easier with no packing! Anyway a lot of new stuff got packed on top of some of this old stuff I'm pulling out!

  • Sweet looks like native Copper and green Chrysocolla :) Verry nice
