Lowes Matting. Hi, I've been looking for the best matting possible. I tried the Lowes, it's affordable, but not effective, it let too much fine gold through. I tested it using a measured amount of fines against a deep V matting and the Lowes let about 50% or more fine gold through. The problem appears that the Lowes is rounded and shallow. So I'm still looking for affordable deep V matting.
It's not vee-matting. It's runner mat from Lowes. Regular vee-matting has triangle shaped ridges and valleys where this stuff has squares with rounded corners much like the G-1 Highbanker. Also when I bought a 12"x36" peice of vee-matting from a mining shop I paid $12 if I remember right. The roll you see below was $8 for a 36"x48" section. Worth looking into and testing I'd say. kevin you shold do good with that belting in a beach box try it in a reg sluice box and see what happens i think you will be suprised with the resualts
