Just butting in here David, if you can get a smaller coil for your Lobo, it should pick up the little ones. My 4" coil will pick up something smaller than a paper match head. I don't have a Lobo, but have a Bounty Hunter Time Ranger. Hardly ever put the larger coil on anymore.
Hey any luck with your Lobo. I got one haven't done alot of detecting yet ran a test in my yard with small pickers seems it wont pick up the small ones well.
