Oregon beaches have two kinds of gold!

As well as the fine beach gold, there's the gold of the sunsets. Both are beautiful.

    Thanks for the comments! It was May '06 when we were at Gold Beach, and the clamming was prohibited (drat!). I ordered fried oysters at a local hash house and was served the biggest, tenderest oysters I'dever eaten. I fell in love with the beauty of the area.

    The beach behind the welcome center has some world class rock and mineral specimens, free for the taking.
