  • great find.

  • Awesome, sorry the eraser didn't work, ity dies work well on regular tarnish but I guess you have a very difficult tarnish. I think it looks good in that last picture though, it has character.
  • That is in really good shape.

  • looks great to me buddy

  • Here's how it looks now. Think I might leave it like this.

  • awesome, you are just rocking that thing bob!

  • I tried the eraser Gerald. Nothing. I tried the baking soda/foil/water trick once but got little improvement. So today i'm doing the foil/soda method again and again and again and she's cleanin up nice! Ill post a new pic later :)

  • I used to use a pencil eraser, worked well for me on quite a few coins, it just erased the tarnish away. Might be worth a try....
  • Place it in a shallow dish, with a piece of aluminum foil in it. Pour in some hot water, and a tablespoon of baking soda, then let it set for 5-10 minutes. Should clean up pretty good.

  • Cleaning it up some. Here's what it looks like now. First time dealing with such tarnish so trying to be careful. Gonna be a long process.
