97% of the gold I recover remains in the removable Jobe Mat section I have installed in the Flair/Slickplate section of my "Keene sluice" (circa 1982) lol!
It works real well for sampling different dig areas within your set-up location.. You see every piece after you have thrown a few scoops thru it. I cant believe how well it works, way faster and easier than pan sampling and I do not get empressed easily!! I have purchased some sticky back velcro strips to hold it in place and I will use a strip of Duct Tape ripped in half @ the top so sands do not get under it.
Your supposed to place it in the riffle system but you cant revove it unless you break down the sluice, This way you can clean the Jobe Mat out, (like in 5 mins.) and go right back to work!! I install it with double sided thick 3M Tape
