Hi ted,you don't go into the shafts its a bit of a safety issue,but i have dug up a lot of stuff
like trolly cars ,drill steels, rail line,even found an old door in the face with a padlock still locked.
a lot of equipment was left under ground the cost to dismantle it to get it out was to much.
