All of these photos are fossils I have discovered under the ground in my back yard. I was desperate to pan something, so I went out back to the swampy part of my land where excess water makes a brook when it rains, and I dug a puddle out and put the rocks into a pile like I always do. Clay was wicked and I soon got frustrated. Muddy water squishy sticky clay. So I decided to take all the rocks home for fill in some driveway spots. As I looked at them covered in slime, I began to notice some had weird marks on them so I started to scrub the rocks. And the rest is history.

I sent the rippled ones photos to a lab in BoothBay Harbor Maine, where they specialize in dating fossils.

They had 27 people look at my rock and all agreed it is a wolly Mammoth. Since I am taking a crash course from prospector to fossicker, I have much to learn. And rocks are so heavy to lug an acre at 70 in a ice fishing plastic sled. I'm like a woman at a bargain basement sale and my shopping cart is overflowing so bad I can't push it.

Do enjoy my finds. As soon as I get the identified and know what they all are they will be for sale.

It's the Ryan and Vickie get a safe truck to haul our gold rig fossi sale. Interesting thing is, according to the Maine fossil sight, there are no dinosaurs fossils in Maine.
