I think the black rock might be slate. Back in the day when they mined slate around here they found gold. So yeah haven't ruled it out yet. If it is gold I would rather leave it in the rock as a specimen. Will go the test kit route with this stuff.

Well you know when hard rock mining gold is Never in its Pure form ? what color is your Streek have you tried to do an Acid test ? and, What is The Pasific Gravety?..... What is the Conductivety of Gold ? Who Said That ? That has nuthing to do with color thats Electrical mojo someone is messin witc ya

Well they guys in chat had me check the color for conductivity. It's non conductive. It scratches off into a powder. Another false alarm. :(
