  • Better write that one up for clouding the water lol.  Our local biologist here believes that a certain amount of suspended particulate in the water is very helpful for the fish to get past creeks and confluences and return to the right spot since they get home by taste and smell. Much the same way as we know the smell of a burger on the grill, or the taste of a lemon. His advice was to dig those places early in the summer and then move up or down 10 yards or so or up the joining stream 10 so the natural signals are clear during the spawn. You would have to hear him explain it but it makes really good sense.
