homemade sluices

these are 3 of the sluices i through together with what i had on handthe small one in the middle i used for the first gold pics i posted here i made that one to be ultra light for long hikes i built a crashbox for that one as well its sides are made from the angle pieces of the bed liner. all 3 of these i have had better results than my A52 and my jobe fold up sluice

  • Ya, that flare was just some scrap i had layn around, it actually works very well but because of the width it doesnt pick up the material as fast as i would like. The bed liner boxes work amazing they give you a lot of riffles to catch that yeller metal and clean up is very fast about 1min and its back in the water. I had been thinking about a rocker typ box using the bedliner but havent got around to building it. Give it a shot i think youll love it

    If you lesson the sharpness of the taper on the sluice on the left, you will get a smoother and slightly increased flow.

    I like your "bed liner" usage, I happen to have one in my back yard, ya got me thinkin' now. LOL
