  • Gold has been found a few miles up stream. I live in southern Indiana and a friend of mine owns some land on Sand Creek. I have been doing my research, the bedrock was still under water quite a bit, I'll have to wait on that for a while.I was digging high on the bank where I had seen gravel and black sand brought in by the recent floods on the inside downstream side of a sandbar, I might  of had some micron size gold in my pan, I'm waiting on my snuffer bottle to get here so I improvised with a visine bottle. I got something in the bottom of it. LOL!!! It's so darn small. I need to get a Jewelers Loupe or magnifying glass.

  • That's Awesome. Any gold previously found in the creek? As you may have heard gold is where you find it but a good place to start is where it has already been found.

Once I started finding gold I couldn't stop. I cant wait for the next fix. Its like a drug that you just cant shack. The thrill is just amazing.

Have you been doing research on where to look? Good places to start looking?

  • Thank you Casey, yep it was my first time the creek is up and running pretty fast couldn't get to what I think might the honey hole.

  • Hey Ralph Welcome to GPS. New to prospecting?
