  • If you look in all directions. One direction is uphill (SE) and the other (NW) is down hill, the left and right also slope uphill slightly, making this a stream of sorts. This is also under a old tailing pile.

  • if the caliche layer drop off at the bottom there maybe big gold you think like a waterfall but smaller.

  • I have dug this hole twice before and recovered some flakes and 50 mesh size. The hole is on a between some rolling hills. I am working this hole at or near the caliche layer and did find that it dropped off or quit at the back of the hole.  Most of this area has been worked 100's of times and this hole is near a tailings pile. The hole also has lots of decomposing quartz in it. But no nuggets, only tiny flakes and smalls.

  • I dont now how to prosprct in the desert. So my ? is what made you dig there I now gold is where you find it but this looks like its on flat land or is it a old river bottom.
