The Mercer County, Illinois makes this statement about the area that this carving is located in. "Almost with the early settlers of Mercer County there was formed a company of, Bandits, supposed to have their rendezvous in the N/E of Mercer and the South part of Rock Island Counties."I'm open to ideas as to what someone else thinks it means.
