Take some fine sand paper and sand the whole inside lightly or fill with dirt and gravel and swirl it all around including the riffles. Your just roughing it up.

got the new pan t'day from Mr Mailman... I kinda like it....
after spending well over an hour with my sanding pad on it, I think it's ready ta try out...
just gotta get some dirt ta play in :)

was actually wondering about that.... what exactly does "seasoning" the pan consist of other than a good cleaning?
Remember to season it before you use and wash the oil off of it.
