  • I have 4 different matting and just have to experiment with water n angle. And at times I run a second sluice box in line with the first at less of a angle.
  • i got a chanch to try 3 different types of the hog matting  and it work fair but i found a lot of small fine gold in the tailings    it depends on a lot of factors like angle water flow  rate of feed and  how and what its set up  o do

  • Ken so true lol it's all personal preference. I had the Martin ms 46 sluice box and haven't worked for me neither did carpet. Was gonna give miners moss but decided to go with hog matting.
  • http://www.goldprospectorsspace.com/photo/img-0267-1?context=user  this is 1 of my designs that works very well for catching the 150  mesh and smaller gold

  • this is 1 of my designs  for a banker dredge combo  hane used the 1 have for over 37 years now have done a lot of experminting with a lot of different mattings   in my opinion i have not found anything that catches the fine gold like the vortex matting   but its a personal preffence as to what ppl like and use

have also built some dredges and tromels  i like to help ppl build their own equipment as its a lot of fun and a lot cheaper then buying the big name brands that dont do anymore then any other

  • I'm switching all my matting what think to be the best matting made
  • vortex only way to go have used it dor a lot of years

    nice looking piece of equipment

  • I added v matting in the front rest is vortex matting. Its for sale
  • Lots of cool gear and great work on that stand.  Who makes that drop riffle sluice?  Is that vortex or v mat before the riffles?

  • My Martin ms 46 sluice box, 30 inch sluice box and 24inch abs sluice box. Made the stand the Martin is on.
